Get New Zealand Writing

Over the last 3 weeks we have been taking part in Get NZ Writing.  We use metaphors to describe our class. 

A metaphor compares two things, saying one thing is the other.

Here is our Metaphor Poem about Room 14.

Room 14 is...

Room 14 is a limo, we stretch our brains.

Room 14 is an ice-cream truck, we are all different like the ice creams.

Room 14 is a cheese burger because we stick together.

Room 14 is a Kowhai tree, we are all the leaves.

Room 14 is a Kowhai tree, we are in Tui Hub and we love the flowers.

Room 14 is a green tree, green is the colour of nature and nature is strong.

Room 14 is a pair of shoes walking on our learning pathway.

Room 14 is Trentham Park, it’s a busy place and there is lots to do.

Next we are going to write metaphors about ourselves.
